  1. 1/2 cup 99g / 3 1/2oz Butter

  2. 1 1/2 cups 355ml Evaporated milk

  3. 3 oz 85g Chocolate - bitter

  4. 1/8 teaspoon 0.6ml Salt

  5. 2 1/2 cups 495g / 17oz Sugar - powdered

  6. 1 teaspoon 5ml Vanilla

  1. Melt butter with chocolate in saucepan. Add other ingredients (except vanilla) and cook 20-25 minutes over medium heat. Mixture will slowly thicken. Add vanilla and serve over ice cream.

  2. NOTES:

  3. * Hot fudge sauce for ice cream -- This is the fudgiest and best sauce you'll ever taste. The recipe has been passed down in our family for years and years.

  4. * This sauce becomes like fudge candy when refrigerated, and it's hard to keep from poking your finger in it for a taste. Simply reheat in a saucepan to melt it down.
