  1. 1/2 cup butter

  2. 1 cup all-purpose flour

  3. 1 cup rolled oats (quick cooking or regular oatmeal)

  4. 1/3 cup firmly-packed light brown sugar

  5. 1/2 tsp. baking soda

  6. 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

  7. 40 1/4-inch slices of Snickers candy bars

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray an 8-inch square baking dish with cooking spray.

  2. In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium-low heat. When butter is melted, remove pan from heat and add flour, oats, brown sugar, baking soda and vanilla. Mix until well-combined.

  3. Set aside about one-third of the mixture. Press the remaining mixture into prepared pan. Lay sliced Snickers bars over top, leaving a 1/4-inch border all the way around. Crumble remaining oat mixture over the sliced candy bars.

  4. Bake 25 minutes. Cool completely, then cut into squares. Makes 16 Snickers candy bar squares.
