  1. Soak the rice and masoor dal, in separate bowls for 30 minutes.

  2. Heat oil in a pan add bay leaves, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, pepper, roast it and add green chilly, slice onions, salt, turmeric, ginger garlic paste, cook this till raw flavor is gone, curd (optional), add rice, masoor dal, water, chopped mint & coriander leaves, put the lid on and cook it till rice is done at last add ghee on top of the rice and put the lid on for few minutes.

  3. Serve this with till ka khatta.
