  1. 3 c Rolled oats, quick-cooking

  2. 1 c Unsweetened wheat germ

  3. 1/2 c Coconut, flaked

  4. -OR- shelled sunflower seeds

  5. 1 c Nuts, coarsely chopped

  6. 1 c Raisins

  7. 1/2 c Oil

  8. 1/2 c Honey

  9. 2 ts Vanilla

  1. Preheat oven to 275 F (very slow).

  2. Mix rolled oats, wheat germ, coconut or sunflower seeds, nuts, and raisins in a large bowl.

  3. Mix oil, honey, and vanilla. Pour over rolled oat mixture. Stir lightly until evenly mixed. Spread mixture on a 15- by 10- by 1-inch baking pan.

  4. Bake 1 hour, stirring each 15 minutes. Cool. Break up any large lumps.

  5. Store in an airtight container.
