  1. Directions To make filling, wash peppers and remove cores, pith and seeds.

  2. Finely chop peppers.

  3. Peel and chop onion and tomatoes.

  4. Heat oil in a medium skillet; gently fry peppers, onion and garlic about 10 minutes.

  5. Add tomatoes, ham and chicken; simmer a few minutes.

  6. Stir in salt and pepper; remove from heat.

  7. Preheat oven to 400°F (205°C).

  8. Grease a baking sheet.

  9. To assemble pie, divide dough in half.

  10. On a lightly floured surface, roll out dough to two 12-inch (30-cm) rounds.

  11. Place 1 round of dough on greased baking sheet.

  12. Spread with chicken mixture to within 1/2 inch (1 cm) of edge.

  13. Place second round on top; press edges together to seal.

  14. Score with a knife; brush with beaten egg.

  15. Bake pie 45 minutes or until a rich golden brown.
