  1. 1/2 cup dry navy beans or great northern beans; rinsed and drained

  2. 1/2 cup dry black beans or kidney beans; rinsed and drained

  3. 1/2 cup dry lima beans; rinsed and drained

  4. 1/2 cup dry garbanzo beans; rinsed and drained

  5. 1/2 cup dry split peas; rinsed and drained

  6. 6 cups cold water

  7. 2 cup fully cooked ham cut into 1/2-inch pieces

  8. 1 lg. onion; chopped

  9. 2 med. carrots; chopped

  10. 1 tsp. dried basil; crushed

  11. 1 tsp. dried oregano; crushed

  12. 3/4 tsp. salt

  13. 1/4 tsp. pepper

  14. 2 bay leaves

  1. Combine all ingredients in the crockpot.

  2. Cover and cook on low for 10-12 hours.

  3. Discard bay leaves before serving.

  4. Serves 10-12.
