    1. 1 c. shortening

    2. 1/4 c. sugar

    3. 1 1/2 c. sugar

    4. 1 tbsp. cinnamon

    5. 2 3/4 c. sifted flour

    6. 2 tsp. cream of tartar

    7. 1 tsp. soda

    8. 2 eggs

    9. 1/4 tsp. salt

    10. 1 tsp. vanilla

    1. Sift together flour, soda, salt and cream of tartar.

    2. Cream shortening and 1 1/2 cups sugar thoroughly. Add eggs and vanilla. Beat. Add sifted dry ingredients and mix well.
