  1. 1 lb 454g / 16oz Fish fillet - cooked

  2. 1 cup 237ml Peas - canned or frozen

  3. 1 tablespoon 15ml Onion - minced

  4. 1 tablespoon 15ml Green pepper - minced

  5. 2 cups 474ml Mashed potato - seasoned

  6. Sauce

  7. 2 tablespoons 30ml Butter or margarine

  8. 2 tablespoons 30ml Flour

  9. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Salt

  10. 1/8 teaspoon 0.6ml Pepper

  11. 1 cup 237ml Milk or - half milk and half

  12. Liquid

  1. Poach the fish in a small amount of water; flake the fish.

  2. Make a white sauce with the butter, flour, salt, pepper and milk. Cook until smooth and thickened.

  3. In a buttered casserole, combine the fish, salt, peas, onion, green pepper and white sauce; cover with a layer of mashed potato seasoned with 1/4 cup of butter, 1/2 cup milk, salt and pepper. Bake in a hot oven, 400F F., for 25 minutes, or until hot and bubbly.
