  1. Carrot - 2 nos (small)

  2. Potato - 1 no (big)

  3. Beans - 8 - 10 nos

  4. Peas - 1/4 cup

  5. To temper & saute:

  6. Jeera - 1 tsp

  7. Bay leaf -1 no

  8. (Big) onion - 2 nos

  9. Tomato - 2 nos ( small) ( I grind the tomato to paste & add )

  10. Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp

  11. Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp ( i use 1/4 tsp)

  12. Garam masala powder - 1/2 tsp

  13. Kasuri methi - A pinch

  14. To grind:

  15. Grated coconut - 3 tbsp

  16. (Fried) chana (gram) dal - 1 1/2 tsp

  17. Cashews - 5 nos

  18. Green chillies - 2 - 3 nos ( i used 2 )

  19. (Dhania) coriander seeds - 1/2 tsp

  20. Fennel - 1 tsp

  21. Cinnamon - 1 (inch piece)

  22. Cardamom - 1 no

  23. Cloves - 3 nos

  24. Ginger - 1 piece (inch piece)

  25. Garlic - 6 cloves

  1. Grind all the items given under “to grind” to make a paste by adding water..Grind tomatoes separately and set aside.

  2. Wash and chop all the vegetables , pressure cook adding little salt , 1.5 cup of water and set aside..Make sure the vegetables should not be mushy..

  3. In a kadai , heat oil ,add jeera & bayleaf.. Then add the onions and saute till it turns transparent. Now add the tomato paste or tomato pieces and saute till raw smell leaves or till the pieces turns mushy.Add little salt to make it faster..

  4. Then add the ground paste and saute well .. Now add the turmeric powder , red chilli powder and garam masala powder & kasuri methi. Mix well and saute for few mins. Finally add the cooked vegetables along with the water. Add salt if necessary and some more water. Allow it to boil for sometime till u get a nice aroma. Adjust the consistency..

  5. Garnish with coriander leaves if u wish. Serve hot with roti/poori !
