  1. 1 (18 1/4 ounce) box chocolate cake mix

  2. 8 ounces cream cheese , softened

  3. 1/3 cup granulated sugar

  4. 1 egg

  5. 1/8 teaspoon salt

  6. 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

  1. Prepare cake mix as per instructions on box and beat until smooth.

  2. ..In a bowl mix together the cream cheese, sugar, egg and salt.

  3. Fold in the chocolate chips.

  4. .. Fill the cupcake tins half full of cake mixture and drop in 1 teaspoon of cheese mixture into each cupcake.

  5. Bake until done.

  6. Frost as desired.
