  1. 1133.98 g ground beef

  2. 177.44 ml onion , coarsely chopped

  3. 177.44 ml quick-cooking oats

  4. 2 eggs

  5. 236 1/29 ml milk

  6. 14.79 ml salt

  7. 14.79 ml parsley , snipped

  8. 2.46 ml italian seasoning

  9. 1 1/53 ml pepper

  10. 118 1/59 ml chili sauce

  11. 29 1/28 ml brown sugar , packed

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. Line loaf pan, 9X5X3,with waxed paper.

  3. In large bowl, mix beef, onion and oats with hands.

  4. In small bowl combine eggs,milk,salt,parsley,savory leaves and pepper. Mix well.

  5. Pour into meat mixture and mix well with hands.

  6. Pat firmly into prepared pan.

  7. Mixture will be wet.

  8. Invert loaf into an ungreased baking pan 13X9X2 inches.

  9. Carefully remove waxed paper.

  10. Bake uncovered 30 minutes.

  11. Mix chili sauce and brown sugar; brush over top and sides of loaf.

  12. Bake an additional 45 minutes to one hour, brushing occasionally.
