  2. 1/4 cup cooking oil

  3. 3 tablespoons margarine

  4. 1 large onion -- chopped

  5. 1/2 bell pepper -- chopped

  6. 1 tablespoon parsley -- minced

  7. 2 tablespoons green onion -- chopped

  8. 2 cloves garlic -- minced

  9. 1 cup hot water

  10. 1/2 cup oyster liquid

  11. 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

  12. 1/4 teaspoon kitchen bouquet

  13. 1/4 teaspoon hot sauce

  14. 1/4 teaspoon white pepper

  15. 1/4 teaspoon salt

  16. 2 dozen oysters

  17. 3 cups rice or noodles -- cooked

  1. Lightly brown onion and bell pepper in oil and margarine. Add 1/4 cup water, cook for 5 minutes. Stir in parsley and green onion. Add hot water, oyster liquid, Worcestershire sauce, Kitchen Bouquet and hot sauce. Cook over medium heat for 15 minutes. Stir in oysters and garlic. Season with salt and pepper. Simmer 15 minutes. Serve over cooked rice or noodles. Festival: Louisiana Oyster Festival; July 14-16, 1995.
