  1. 1 can (14-1/2 ounces) diced tomatoes, undrained

  2. 1 can (16 ounces) mild chili beans, undrained

  3. 1/2 cup chopped onion

  4. 1/4 cup chopped green pepper

  5. 1 pound ground beef

  6. 1-1/2 teaspoons salt

  7. 1 to 2 teaspoons chili powder

  8. 1 teaspoon ground cumin

  9. 1/2 teaspoon pepper

  10. Hot cooked spaghetti, optional

  2. In a large saucepan, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. Add seasonings and pureed vegetables. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 1 hour. Serve with spaghetti if desired. Yield: 6 servings.
