  1. 2 Egg yolks

  2. Whole strawberries for 2 c Sliced fresh strawberries

  3. 2 Egg whites

  4. 3 tb Sugar

  5. 2 c Whipping cream

  6. 1 c Sour cream

  7. 1 ts Grated grapefruit rind

  8. 8 oz Grapefruit juice

  9. 3 tb Gin

  10. 1 pk Unflavored gelatin

  11. 1/3c Sugar

  1. + Beat egg yoks and 1/3 cup sugar in stainless stell bowl over hot water bath or top half of double boiler until they lighten in color and become fluffy (about 2 minutes).

  2. Add gelatin that has been softened in gin to egg mixture and continue beating for another 2 minutes.

  3. Remove from heat and add grapefruit juice, rind, and sour cream.

  4. Mix thoroughly.

  5. REfrigerate for 10 minutes.

  6. Meanwhile, whip cream with 3 tbsp sugar.

  7. Beat egg whites until they form firm peaks.

  8. Fold 1/2 of the whipped cream (reserving 1/2 for garnish) into chilled gelatin mixture.

  9. Mix will.

  10. Fold in egg whites.

  11. Chill for 4-6 hours.

  12. Serve in parfait glasses, alternating mousse with layers of sliced strawberries.

  13. Top with remaining whipped cream and whole strawberries.

  14. Serves 6-8.
