  1. 1 3/4 lbs round steak (1/2" thick)

  2. 1/2 cup flour

  3. 1 tsp salt

  4. 1/4 tsp ground black pepper

  5. 1/3 cup vegetable oil

  6. 3 tbs flour

  7. 1/2 tsp salt

  8. 1/8 tsp ground black pepper

  9. 1/4 tsp garlic powder

  10. 1 1/2 cups light cream

  11. 6 serving pieces. Pound each piece until

  12. 1/4" thick. Coat meat with mixture of

  13. 1/2 cup flour,

  14. 1 tsp salt,

  15. 1/4 tsp pepper, and 1/4 tsp garlic powder. Brown meat slowly on both sides in hot oil in large skillet. Cover and cook over low heat

  16. 45 to 60 minutes or until tender. Remove meat to platter and keep warm. Skim off fat from pan juices. Add

  17. 3 tbs flour,

  18. 1/2 tsp salt,

  19. 1/8 tsp pepper, and 1/4 tsp garlic powder to drippings in skillet, stirring to loosen browned bits on bottom. Add

  20. 1 1/2 cups light cream or milk and cook over low heat, stirring constantly until mixture comes to a boil and is thickened. Serve steak with gravy. Serves
