  1. 2 pounds ground beef or ground turkey

  2. 6 frozen cheese filled poppers

  3. 1 cup mild or medium salsa

  4. 4 oz. Velvetta brand cheese

  5. 1 onion , chopped

  6. 1/2 cup chopped bell pepper

  7. 3 tablespoons butter

  8. 1 egg

  9. 1 tablespoon garlic powder

  10. 1 tablespoon creole spice

  11. 1/2 teaspoon cracked black pepper

  12. 6 hamburger buns , toasted lightly

  1. In skillet, saute onions and bell pepper in butter until just tender.

  2. In a mixing bowl, mix together the ground beef, egg, and spices.

  3. Add onions and bell pepper and mix well.

  4. Divide ground beef mixture into six equal parts.

  5. Mold each part of ground beef around one popper.

  6. Cook on hot grill or on George Foreman type grill until cooked throughly.

  7. In a glass microwave safe dish, melt Velvetta cheese.

  8. Stir in salsa.

  9. Lightly toast buns on grill.

  10. Place one burger on each bun, top with cheese sauce and serve with additional burger dressings(tomatoes, lettuce, etc)
