  1. 5 tbsp (75ml) brown rice

  2. 1 cup (250ml) water

  3. 2 1/2 cups (625ml) milk or soy milk

  4. 1/2 cup (125ml) sugar

  5. 1/2 cup (125ml) walnuts, coarsely chopped

  6. 1/4 cup 60ml0 raisins

  7. cinnamon or nutmeg

  1. Method :

  2. Put rice and water in a saucepan. Cook until water has been absorbed. Add milk and sugar and cook over low heat until mixture thickens. Add walnuts and raisins.

  3. Serve hot, sprinkled with cinnamon.
