  1. 1 1/2 cups flour

  2. 1 cup sugar

  3. 1 teaspoon baking soda

  4. 1 teaspoon salt

  5. 1/3 cup cocoa powder

  6. 1/2 cup butter softened

  7. 2 eggs

  8. 1 cup milk

  9. 1 teaspoon vinegar

  12. 2/3 cup cocoa power

  13. 4 1/2 cups confectioner's sugar

  14. 1/3 cup half and half 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  15. pinch salt

  1. Preheat oven to 325 F. Line cupcake pans with paper liners; set aside.

  2. Combine in a bowl flour, sugar, baking soda, cocoa powder and salt. Mix on low speed until combined for about 3 minutes.

  3. Add in butter, vinegar and eggs 1 at a time until combined. Slowly add milk to batter until completely mixed scraping down the bowl as you mix.

  4. Scoop batter into baking cups filling about 2/3 full. Bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, 17 to 20 minutes.

  5. Chocolate Frosting Preparation:

  6. In a large saucepan over low to medium heat, melt butter and add cocoa. Stir until smooth.

  7. Alternately beat in powdered sugar and milk with hand mixer until smooth and creamy. Fold in vanilla and salt.

  8. Frost cupcakes, top with a chocolate Kiss candy and sprinkles and enjoy!
