  1. Cauliflower florets - 15 nos

  2. Peas (Boiled)- 1/2 cup

  3. Tomato - 2 nos(chopped)

  4. (Big) onion - 1 no(finely chopped)

  5. Red chili powder - 1 tsp (adjust)

  6. Turmeric powder - 1 tsp

  7. Salt as per taste

  8. To grind:

  9. Grated Coconut - 1 tbsp

  10. Ginger - 1piece (1 1/2 inch)

  11. Garlic flakes - 7 nos

  12. To season : Mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp

  13. Urad dal - 1/2 tsp

  14. Cumin seeds- 1/4 tsp

  15. Curry leaves - (a sprig)

  16. Coriander leaves - to garnish)

  1. Wash and soak the cauliflower florets in hot water with salt and turmeric powder for 10-15 mins .Grind all the items given under “to grind” to make a paste and set aside.

  2. Heat a wok/pan with oil and do the seasoning part first.

  3. Then add the chopped onion and saute for a minute.

  4. Now add the ground coconut paste with water and stir fry till raw smell leaves it.

  5. Then add the red chilly powder,turmeric powder,chopped tomatoes and mix it well.

  6. Add the required water, boiled peas and cover cook till cauliflower gets cooked.

  7. Make the gravy thick if its for chappati and watery for idly/dosa/rice.
