First boil the chicken pieces in enough water with salt
Cover the bowl and cook for 10 minutes
Now separate the chicken stock from the chicken
Heating up little bit of oil in pan
Fry the chopped onions along with the bay leaves
In the same time make a paste with the ginger, garlic and 1green chili
Now take the chicken pieces in a bowl
Add salt and garam masala with them
Now add the masala paste and lemon juice
Put turmeric powder and mix altogether well
Marinate the chicken for 30 minutes
When the onions are done add the ginger and garlic paste and cook for a minute
Then add the tomatoes
Pour yogurt and coriander leaves
Put little bit of salt
Mix them well
Cook for a minute
Make a paste with red chilies, black cardamom, star anise, jaitri, cumin seeds
Add the masala now and mix well
Cook them till the oil separates from the masala
Now pour the chicken stew
Now cover it and let it boil
In the same time shallow fry the chicken pieces
The chicken pieces are now half cooked
Now add the soaked rice in the boiling gravy
When the rice is half done, slow the flame
Put the tawa on the oven and keep the rice pan on the tawa
Cover the pan
Now put the chicken pieces on the top of the rice and spread them
Cover the pan again and cook for at least 10 minutes
Fried chicken yanki is ready to be served
