Gory Cupcakes

For the Cupcakes:

Prepare according to package directions & allow to cool. Frost with creamy white frosting.

For the Fake Blood:

Add about a cup of Corn Syrup to a medium sized bowl. Add cornstarch and/or water as needed to thicken or thin the consistency until it is ‘blood like.’ (You may omit this step to save time if you are fine with the consistency of the corn syrup). Add red food coloring until it is very red. Add a few drops of blue &/or green dye until it looks more like real blood (be cautious with these colors – only a few drops are needed). Add chocolate syrup if needed to give a more blood like appearance (again, only a small amount may be needed).

CAUTION: This mixture will stain your clothes and might temporarily discolor your skin as well.

For the assembly:

Drizzle the cupcakes with fake blood. Dip candies in pie filling & then in fake blood.

Place the candies on the cupcakes.
