  1. Rice - 1 cup

  2. Green peas - 3/4 cup

  3. Water - 3 cups

  4. Milk - 1 cup

  5. Ghee - 4 tbsp

  6. Cumin seeds - 2 tbsp

  7. Fennel seeds - 1 tsp

  8. Cardamom - 1

  9. Bay leaf - 1

  10. Mace - (small piece)

  11. Marathi moggu - 1

  12. Star anise - 1

  13. Cinnamon - 1

  14. Cloves - 3

  15. Salt - As required

  1. In a pressure cooker, add ghee and melt it.

  2. Add Cumin seeds, Fennel seeds, Cardamom, Bay leaf, Mace, Star anise, Cinnamon, Cloves and saute until you feel their aroma.

  3. Now add green peas and saute for two minutes.

  4. Meanwhile soak the rice in water for ten minutes. Wash and drain the water.

  5. Add the rice to pressure cooker and saute until light brown.

  6. Now add water and milk and mix with other ingredients.

  7. Finally add salt and mix well.

  8. Close the lid and pressure cook it.

  9. You can feel the aroma of green peas pulao all over your kitchen once the first whistle comes.

  10. Serve it with raitha or any other gravy that you prepare for roti.
