  1. 1 1/2 chicken pieces ,trimmed

  2. 4 tspn ginger and garlic paste

  3. 3 green chillies

  4. 1/2 cup cashews

  5. 1/2 cup water

  6. 2 tblspn ghee

  7. 1 tblspn oil

  8. 1 large onion ,ground to a paste

  9. 4 whole cardamom

  10. 4 cloves

  11. 2 pieces cinnamon

  12. 2 tspn coriander powd

  13. 1 tspn cumin powd

  14. 2 tspn chilli powd

  15. 2 tspn cumin seeds

  16. 1/2 cup youghurt

  17. 1/2 cup tinned cream

  18. few strands saffron dissolved in 1/4 cup hot milk

  19. 1/2 cup fresh coriander

  20. salt to taste

  1. rinse and drain meat

  2. combine ginger and garlic paste,nuts and blend with water til smooth

  3. heat ghee and oil and fry onions and whole spices

  4. stir in garlic paste and cook for 5 min

  5. add meat,mix well

  6. lower heat add salt and cook for 2o min

  7. beat youghurt and add gradually

  8. when meat is tender and fairly dry add cream,saffron and coriander

  9. simmer for 5-10 min

  10. serve with basmati rice or butter naan
