  1. 4 tablespoon(s) Paula Deen's House Seasoning

  2. 2 tablespoon(s) seasoned salt

  3. 4 tablespoon(s) liquid smoke , found in grocery store

  4. 1 (5 pound) pork butt roast

  5. 1 medium onion , sliced

  6. 1 cup(s) water

  7. 3 bay leaves

  8. BBQ sauce

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Sprinkle one side of the roast with 2 tablespoons of the house seasoning, making sure to rub well. Flip the roast over and rub in the remaining 2 tablespoons of house seasoning. Repeat the process with the seasoned salt and liquid smoke, then thoroughly rub the meat. Place the roast in a large roasting pan. Add the onion, water, and bay leaves to the roast. Place in the oven and cook for 2 1/2 to 3 hours, or until thermometer reads 170 degrees. Let the meat cool.

  3. Shred the pork with a fork or tongs into bite-size pieces. Mix BBQ sauce into the pork, and serve on choice of bread.
