  1. 1 cup 160g / 5.6oz Brown sugar - packed

  2. 3 White bread - buttered

  3. Into 3/4-in. Cubes

  4. 2 Eggs

  5. 2 cups 474ml Milk

  6. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Salt

  7. 1 teaspoon 5ml Vanilla

  1. Place brown sugar in top of double boiler. Place bread cubes on top of sugar. Beat eggs with milk, salt and vanilla and pour over bread. Place over simmering water, cover and cook 1 1/2 hours. Do not stir. Brown sugar forms sauce in bottom of pan. Turn pudding into serving dish.
