  1. (Dried) green peas 1 cup

  2. Ginger paste 1/2tsp

  3. Garlic paste 1/2tsp

  4. Tomato 1 (chopped)

  5. Green chili 1 (chopped)

  6. Red chilies 3

  7. Cumin seeds 1 1/2tsp

  8. Fennel seeds 1/2tsp

  9. Onion 1 1/2 (chopped)

  10. Coriander seeds 2tsp

  11. Curry leaves 6

  12. Turmeric powder 1/2tsp

  13. Curry powder 1tsp

  14. Garam masala 1/2tsp

  15. Salt as per taste

  16. Mustard seeds 1tsp

  17. Oil (for cooking)

  18. Cilantro leaves (for garnishing)

  1. First cook the dried green peas in pressure cooker along with water till it become soft and tender

  2. Put tomato, onion, green chili, red chili, cumin seeds, coriander seeds and fennel seed in grinder

  3. Pour little bit of water

  4. Grind them together to make a fine paste

  5. Heating up oil in a pan

  6. Add the chopped onion and curry leaves

  7. Put mustard seeds and cumin seeds

  8. Fry till the onions become soft

  9. Now add the ginger and garlic paste

  10. Fry for a minute till the raw smell goes

  11. Now add the masala paste and fry for 2 minutes

  12. The masala is fried now

  13. Add the boiled peas and mix well

  14. Pour little water and mix it

  15. Put turmeric powder, curry powder, garam masala and salt

  16. Mix altogether well and cook till it boil

  17. When the curry starts to boil off the stove and garnish it with cilantro leaves

  18. Serve it with roti, chapatti, naan or parantha
