  1. 1 c. sugar

  2. 1/4 lb. butter

  3. 2 eggs

  4. 2 c. flour

  5. 1 tsp. vanilla

  6. 1/2 c. nuts

  7. 1/4 tsp. salt

  8. 1 tsp. baking soda

  9. 3 soft bananas

  1. Cream butter with sugar, add eggs. Sift flour with baking powder. Add rest of ingredients and put dough in 3 (12 ounce) coffee cans and fill them half full. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees.

  2. My Mother made these cakes very often, in fact whenever someone came to visit there was always a banana bread cake to be eaten. We had to save the coffee cans for her as she was always running out.
