  2. 14.79 ml salt

  3. 226.79 g green beans , trimmed

  4. 226.79 g wax bean, trimmed

  5. 295.73 ml red wine vinegar (5% acidity)

  6. 118 1/59 ml sugar

  7. 118 1/59 ml cider vinegar

  8. 118 1/59 ml vodka

  9. 29 1/28 ml mustard seeds

  10. 14.79 ml black peppercorns

  11. 9.85 ml fennel seeds

  12. 4.92-9.85 ml crushed red pepper flakes

  13. 4 garlic cloves

  14. 4 fresh dill sprigs

  15. 2 bay leaves

  1. Bring 2 quarts water and salt to a boil in a large saucepan. Add beans; cook 4 minutes or until crisp-tender. Drain and place in a large bowl filled with ice water.

  2. Combine red wine vinegar and remaining ingredients in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil; cook 1 minute or until sugar disolves.

  3. Pour over beans; cover and marinate in the refrigerator at least 24 hours OR place beans in pint jars; remove bay leaves; pour marinade into pint jars and seal. Process for 15 minute in a boiling water bath.
