  2. 3 to 4 pound beef brisket

  3. 15 ounce can tomato sauce

  4. 1/3 cup steak sauce

  5. 2 tbsp. brown sugar

  6. 1 tbsp. lemon juice

  7. 1 tsp. hickory seasoning

  8. 1 tsp. garlic powder

  9. 1/4 tsp. Tabasco sauce

  10. 1 tbsp. all purpose flour

  11. 2 tbsp. water

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place the brisket in a large roasting pan, fat side up. Stir together the tomato sauce, steak sauce, sugar, lemon juice, hickory seasoning, garlic powder and Tabasco in a medium bowl. Pour the tomato mixture over the brisket. Cover the roasting pan tightly with foil and roast brisket about 3 hours until tender, basting occasionally with pan juices. Transfer the brisket to a cutting board and tent with foil. Pour the juices from the roasting pan into a large saucepan over medium heat. Stir together the flour and water in a small bowl until smooth. Stir the flour mixture into the pan juices and cook until simmering and thickened, stirring occasionally. Slice the brisket and serve with the sauce.
