  1. 2 cups honey

  2. 1 cup evaporated milk

  3. 1 cup chopped nuts

  4. 3 tablespoons butter

  5. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  6. 1/8 teaspoon salt

  1. Butter an 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan; set aside.

  2. Mix honey and evaporated milk in a heavy saucepan; cook over medium heat to the firm-ball stage (see note).

  3. Remove from heat and stir in nuts, butter, vanilla and salt. Pour into prepared pan. Let cool before cutting into squares.
