  1. 1/3 cup butter

  2. 3 cloves garlic, minced

  3. 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, cubed

  4. 1 cup whole milk

  5. 1/2 cup heavy cream

  6. 2/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  7. 1/8 teaspoon white pepper

  1. In microwave safe dish, place butter and garlic. Microwave on high for 1 minute; remove and stir. Microwave on high for 30 seconds longer or until garlic is fragrant.

  2. Add cream cheese, milk, and cream; microwave on 50% power for 1 minute. Stir sauce with wire whisk. Microwave on 50% power for 1 minute longer; stir. Continue microwaving and stirring until sauce is very smooth.

  3. Stir in cheese and pepper; serve immediately or chill and reheat before serving. You may need to add more milk or cream if you refrigerate the sauce; reheat in the microwave. If you want to use this sauce in the crockpot, add 1 tablespoon flour and 1 tablespoon cornstarch along with another 1/4 cup milk.
