  1. 3 Cloves garlic, sliced

  2. 2 tb Olive oil

  3. 2 c Fresh Basil leaves

  4. 1/4 c Water

  5. 1 ts Light-colored miso

  6. 1 tb Lemon juice

  7. 6 tb Toasted Pine nuts

  8. 9 oz Dry durum wheat pasta

  9. 1 Sweet red pepper, cut Into slivers

  1. Saute garlic in olive oil.

  2. Place in blender or food processor container with basil, 1/4 cup water, miso, lemon juice and 3 Tblsp.

  3. pine nuts.

  4. Process until smooth, adding remaining 1/4 cup water if thinner consistency is desired.

  5. Cook pasta al dente according to package directions.

  6. Drain.

  7. Serve sauce over pasta, sprinkled with 3 Tblsp.

  8. pine nuts and garnished with red pepper slivers.
