  1. 1 cup 2 sticks butter or margarine, softened

  2. 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar

  3. 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  4. 2 large eggs

  5. 2 tablespoons milk

  6. 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  7. 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour

  8. 1 teaspoon baking soda

  9. 1/2 teaspoon salt

  10. 2 1/2 cups QUAKER OATS (quick or old fashioned, uncooked)

  11. 2 cups (12-oz. pkg.) NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels

  12. 1 cup chopped nuts

  1. PREHEAT oven to 375° F.

  2. BEAT butter and sugars in large bowl until creamy. Add eggs, milk and vanilla extract; beat well. Add combined flour, baking soda and salt; mix well. Stir in oats, morsels and nuts; mix well. Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets.

  3. BAKE for 9 to 10 minutes for a chewy cookie or 12 to 13 minutes for a crisp cookie. Cool on baking sheets for 1 minute; remove to wire rack to cool completely. Store tightly covered.
