  1. 1/2 cup orange juice

  2. 1/3 cup soy sauce

  3. 1/4 cup dry sherry

  4. 1/4 cup sliced green onions

  5. 3 cloves garlic, minced

  6. 2 tablespoons sugar

  7. 1 1/2 tablespoons minced fresh gingerroot

  8. 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

  9. 2 starfruit, cut in 1/2-inch-thick slices

  10. 1 tablespoon cornstarch

  11. 1 tablespoon butter

  1. Prepare outdoor grill, placing grill rack 5 inches from heat source. In a blender, combine orange juice, soy sauce, sherry, green onions, garlic, sugar and gingerroot; blend unti smooth. Pour into a large bowl, add shrimp; cover and refrigerate for about 1 to 2 hours.

  2. Strain the marinade from shrimp and reserve. Thread shrimp and star fruit on skewers. Grill until opaque in center, about 2 minutes per side.

  3. Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, combine cornstarch and the reserved marinade; mix well and bring to a boil. Add butter and remove from heat; serve sauce over shrimp.
