  1. 3 pounds beef chuck roast

  2. 1/2 cup onion chopped

  3. 1/2 cup celery chopped

  4. 1/2 cup green bell peppers chopped

  5. 1 x water

  6. 1 1/2 cups ketchup

  7. 3 tablespoons red hot pepper sauce (eg. Tabasco) taco

  8. 2 tablespoons brown sugar

  9. 2 tablespoons vinegar

  10. 2 cloves garlic peeled and minced

  11. 1 each bay leaf

  12. 1 teaspoon salt

  13. 1 teaspoon dry mustard

  14. 1 teaspoon chili powder

  15. 8 each hamburger buns*

  1. Place meat, onion, celery and green pepper in Dutch oven ; cover with water.

  2. Cover tightly and cook slowly 2 1/2 to 3 hours or until tender.

  3. Remove meat; cool, shred and return to cooking liquid.

  4. Add catsup, taco sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, garlic, bay leaf, salt, mustard and chili powder.

  5. Cook slowly 1 hour. Remove bay leaf; serve on buns.
