  1. 2 onions (chopped)

  2. 2 tomatoes (chopped)

  3. cup carrots (chopped)

  4. 1 cup green peas (boiled)

  5. 1/2tsp ginger (crashed)

  6. 1/2tsp garlic (crashed)

  7. 1 green chili (chopped)

  8. 250 gms rice (boiled/ cooked)

  9. 2tsp lemon juice

  10. Water

  11. Salt as per taste

  12. 1 1/2tbsp oil

  13. Coriander leaves (chopped for garnish)

  14. Pawvaji Masala:

  15. 1tsp cumin seeds

  16. 1 cardamom

  17. 1 pieces cinnamon (stick)

  18. 1tsp fennel seeds

  19. 2 red chilies (dry)

  20. 5 black pepper (pods)

  1. First lightly roast cumin seeds, cardamom, cinnamon, fennel seeds, red chilies and black pepper pods

  2. Now make a powder with the roasted masalas

  3. Heating up 2tbsp oil in a kadhai

  4. Now add cumin seeds when the oil is enough hot

  5. Now add the ginger, garlic and green chili

  6. Fry for a minute

  7. Add the chopped onions and fry them till the onions become soft

  8. Now add the chopped tomatoes

  9. Fry for few minutes

  10. Now add the pawvaji masala and fry for another few minutes

  11. Now add the green peas,capsicum and carrots

  12. Add some water (which is gotten from the boiled green peas)

  13. Cook them for 2 minutes

  14. Now add lemon juice and salt as per taste

  15. Mix them well and cook for another few minutes

  16. Now add the cooked rice and mix well

  17. Keep on stirring and cook for another 2 minutes

  18. Tava pulao is ready to be served

  19. Garnish it with coriander leaves
