  14. tsp ground turmeric

  15. 1 tbsp hot masala, or to taste

  16. 1 tsp medium masala

  17. 3 tomatoes, peeled, grated

  18. 1 tsp tamarind pulp, mixed with

  19. 60 ml ( 1/4 cup) boiling water and strained

  20. 1 tbsp raw sugar, or to taste

  21. 10 fresh curry leaves, bruised

  22. cup chopped coriander leaves

  23. yellow rice, to serve
