  1. 8 ounces cream cheese softened

  2. 1 large egg

  3. 1/3 cup sugar

  4. 1/8 teaspoon salt

  5. 1 cup chocolate (semi-sweet) semi-sweet chips

  8. 1/3 cup vegetable oil

  9. 1 tablespoon vinegar

  10. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  11. 1 1/2 cups flour, all-purpose

  12. 1 cup sugar

  13. 1/4 cup cocoa powder

  14. 1 teaspoon baking soda

  15. 1 teaspoon salt

  1. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, egg, sugar and salt until smooth.

  2. Stir in chocolate chips; set aside.

  3. For batter, combine water, oil, vinegar and vanilla in another mixing bowl.

  4. Combine remaining ingredients; add to the liquid mixture and beat well (batter will be thin).

  5. Spoon about 2 tsp of batter into greased or paper-lined miniature muffin cups.

  6. Top with about 1 tsp of filling. Bake at 350 degrees F for 18-23 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in chocolate portion comes out clean.

  7. Cool for 10 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.
