  1. 1 cup sugar

  2. 150 g butter , softened

  3. 1 egg

  4. 1 teaspoon vanilla essence

  5. 1 teaspoon baking soda

  6. 1 cup plain flour

  7. 1/2 cup whole wheat flour

  8. 3/4 cup chocolate chips

  1. Preheat oven to 190ºC.

  2. Mix together butter and sugar.

  3. Add egg, vanilla and baking soda.

  4. Stir in flour and chocolate chips.

  5. Drop rounded teaspoons onto greased trays. Bake for 7-8 minutes.
