  1. 1 egg

  2. 125 g plain flour

  3. Fish stock

  4. 1 teaspoon japanese sake

  5. cabbage

  6. Thinly chopped shallot

  7. Bonito flakes

  8. tempura crisps

  9. Seafood octopus , prawn and/or squid or thin pork slices

  10. seaweed flake

  11. Sweet fruit sauce or mix of mayonnaise & ketchup

  1. How to Cook It:

  2. First, you make a base.

  3. Mix into a bowl egg and fish stock (cooled to room temperature).

  4. Gradually stir in flour.

  5. Add cabbage.

  6. Mix well.

  7. You are ready to cook already!

  8. In a frying pan, add a bit of oil, spread it evenly over the pan.

  9. When the pan is hot enough, make the base by smoothing out the mix(1) evenly over the pan.

  10. Here, it is important to spread the cabbage also evenly over the base.

  11. Apply toppings while the base is still being cooked beginning with meat or seafood.

  12. Then shallots, Bonito flakes and Tempura crisps.

  13. Here, add on top of all these toppings, to make them stick together, a bit of mix(1).

  14. Then flip when the base is cooked.

  15. Flip back again when the bottom is brown.

  16. Add more toppings if you wish, sprinkle seaweed flakes, add the sauce of your choice then you are ready to enjoy Okonomiyaki!!!
