  1. Rice-2 cups

  2. 2 cardamom,

  3. 1 piece cinnamon,

  4. 1 star anise,

  5. 4 cloves

  6. Ghee-1 tspn

  7. Lemon juice-1 tspn

  8. Water

  9. For masala

  10. Red Beans-1/2 cup cooked

  11. Capsicum-1/2 cup chopped

  12. Tomato-1 chopped

  13. Onion-1 chopped

  14. Ginger-1 tspn

  15. Garlic-1 tspn

  16. Green chillies-2 chopped

  17. Coriander leaves

  18. Mint leaves

  19. Red chilli flakes-1 tspn

  20. Garam masala powder-1/2 tspn

  21. Cumin powder-1/4 tspn

  22. Oil/ghee/butter-2 tblspn

  23. Salt

  1. Boil in enough water,by adding salt,whole masala,lime juice and ghee.When rice is cooked well, strain water and spread in a tray and keep aside.( Rice shouldn't be sticky,each rice should be separate ).

  2. Prepare masala 3 Heat oil/ghee/butter in a pan and add red chilli flakes.Then add chopped onions,ginger,garlic and green chillies.When the onions turn light brown,add in tomatoes.Saute for 1 mint.Then add the cumin powder and garam masala powder.Mix well.Now add red beans,capsicum,coriander leaves and mint leaves.Mix well.Sprinkle enough salt,cover and cook in low flame for about 3-4 mints.(Don't add water).Once the masala is done,add cooked rice to it and mix carefully without breaking the rice.Cover and keep in lowest flame for 2 more mints.Remove from fire and serve hot with salad or any side dish of your choice.
