  1. 1/2 cup butter

  2. 4 1/2 cups granulated sugar

  3. 1 (13-ounce) can evaporated milk

  4. 3 (12-ounce each) packages semisweet chocolate chips

  5. 1 (7-ounce) jar marshmallow creme

  6. 3 cups chopped pecans or walnuts, toasted*

  7. 1 teaspoon salt

  8. 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  1. Grease with butter a 15 x 10 x 1-inch pan; set aside.

  2. In a heavy 4-quart saucepan, combine butter, sugar and milk and bring to a full rolling boil on medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil 5 minutes, stirring constantly to prevent scorching. Remove from heat.

  3. Add chocolate chips and stir until chocolate is completely melted. Add remaining ingredients and mix well.

  4. Pour into prepared pan. Cool completely.

  5. Cut into 60 pieces.
