  1. 2 cloves (laung / lavang)

  2. 1 small stick cinnamon (dalchini)

  3. 1 cardamom (elaichi)

  4. 1 medium sized onion

  5. 2 green chillies

  6. 1 tbsp ginger-garlic (adrak-lehsun) paste

  7. 1 tbsp chilli powder

  8. 2 tbsp coriander (dhania) powder

  9. salt to taste

  10. 2 tomatoes

  11. 1 big sized potatoes

  12. 1/2 cup cauliflower florets

  13. 1/2 cup coriander (dhania)

  14. curry leaves (kadi patta)

  15. 1/2 cup grated coconut

  16. 1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)

  1. Add 2 tbsps oil to cooker ,when hot add whole spices.

  2. Slit green chillies, then finely cut onion, saute well.

  3. Till onion turns brown, then add ginger garlic paste.

  4. Saute for 2 minutes, then add spice powders -chilli.

  5. Dhania and salt,saute well till moisture gets absorbe.

  6. Add tomato well squeezed with hand, saute till oil seperates, now add the vegs , add 1 cup water and pressure cook for 2 whistles.

  7. Meanwhile grind coconut with jeera into a fine paste, open the cooker lid.

  8. Add this paste and add 1 more cup of water and allow to boil for a few minutes,now your kurma is ready.

  9. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with rice ,dosas, idlis or chappathis.
