  1. 1 lb 454g / 16oz Italian plum tomatoes --

  2. Cored

  3. Seeded 20 Garlic - finely chopped

  4. 2 tablespoons 30ml Onion - finely chopped

  5. 1 teaspoon 5ml Chili flakes

  6. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Corn oil

  7. 2 tablespoons 30ml Water

  8. 2 tablespoons 30ml Tomato paste

  9. 1 tablespoon 15ml Worcestershire sauce

  10. 2 tablespoons 30ml Red wine vinegar

  11. 2 1/2 tablespoons 37ml Molasses

  12. 1 teaspoon 5ml Mustard powder

  13. 1/4 teaspoon 1 1/3ml Salt

  14. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Tabasco sauce

  1. In a food processor, puree the tomatoes, and set aside.

  2. In a 1 1/2 quart saucepan, saute the garlic, onion, and chili flakes in oil for 2 minutes.

  3. Add the pureed tomatoes and remaining ingredients, and simmer for 15 minutes, uncovered.

  4. Makes 2 cups
