  1. 1 cup sago(Sabudana pearls)

  2. 2 cup milk ,(full cream)

  3. 2 cup water

  4. 1/4 (to 1/2) cup sugar

  5. 2 (green) cardamom , (crushed)

  6. 1 teaspoon almonds , (sliced)

  7. 1 teaspoon cashew nuts , (broken)

  8. 1 teaspoon raisins

  9. 1 teaspoon Foxnuts , (broken)

  10. 2 teaspoon clarified butter

  11. 10-12 threads

  1. Soak saffron stands in 2 tablespoon lukewarm milk and set aside.

  2. Wash and soak sago pearls in 1 cup water for 4-5 hours . Rinse under running water till clear water runs through sago pearls.

  3. Heat 1 cup water in a vessel , add drained sago in it and let it boil. Slow down the flame and add 2 cup milk and crushed green cardamom . Let it cook on low to medium heat for 10-12 minutes with frequent stirring. Add sugar and cook again for 5-7 minutes.

  4. Add saffron milk , stir and cook for 2-3 minutes more. Remove from heat and set aside.

  5. Heat 2 teaspoon clarified butter in a pan , add chopped nuts , sir and pour over the cooked kheer. Mix well and serve hot.

  6. Enjoy hot or chilled !
