  1. 1 cup semolina (rava)

  2. 1 cup chopped mixed vegetables

  3. green peas , french beans and potatoes) , blanched

  4. 1/2 cup finely chopped onions

  5. 1/4 cup finely chopped tomatoes

  6. 2 tbsp ghee

  7. 1 small stick cinnamon (dalchini)

  8. 3 cloves (laung / lavang)

  9. 2 bayleaf (tejpatta)

  10. 2 cardamoms

  11. 1 black cardamom (badi elaichi)

  12. 1 tsp mustard seeds ( rai / sarson)

  13. 1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)

  14. 1 tsp urad dal (split black lentils)

  15. 8 curry leaves (kadi patta)

  16. 2 cashewnuts (kaju)

  17. 3 raisins (kismis)

  18. 1 tbsp finely chopped green chillies

  19. 1 tsp grated ginger (adrak)

  20. 1 tsp asafoetida (hing)

  21. 1 tbsp lemon juice

  22. 2 tsp sugar

  23. salt to taste

  24. For Garnish

  25. 1 tbsp finely chopped tomatoes

  26. 1 tbsp chopped coriander (dhania)

  1. Heat the ghee in a kadhai, add the whole garam masalas, curry leaves, chillies, ginger, cashews and raisins and saute for 1 minute.

  2. Add the semolina and saute till the semolina turns golden pink in colour.

  3. Add all the vegetables, mix well and add enough water, salt, lemon, sugar, mix well and cover and cook for few minutes.

  4. Garnish with finely chopped tomatoes and coriander.

  5. Serve hot.
