  1. 2 egg whites

  2. 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar

  3. 1/2 C Imperial sugar Extra Fine Granulated sugar or Dixie Crystals Extra Fine Granulated sugar

  4. 1/3 tsp. salt

  5. 1/2 tsp. vanilla

  6. 6-oz package chocolate chips

  7. 1 (3-1/4 oz) can flaked coconut

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Melt chocolate chips and add coconut.

  3. Beat egg whites; while beating, gradually add cream of tartar and sugar.

  4. When stiff, add salt and vanilla, then fold into melted chocolate chips and coconut.

  5. Drop onto brown paper on a cookie sheet. Bake 20 minutes at 325 degrees.

  6. Peel off paper when cool.

  7. Can be decorated with candy corn or other Halloween candy.
