  1. 1/4 cup bulgur

  2. 1 pound ground lamb

  3. 1/2 cup parsley leaves snipped

  4. 2 tablespoons onion finely

  5. 1 tablespoon red wine dry

  6. 1 each garlic clove minced

  7. 1/8 teaspoon mint dried ,crushed

  8. 1/4 teaspoon allspice

  9. 1/2 teaspoon salt

  10. 1 x pita bread

  11. 1 x lettuce leaves

  12. 1 x cucumber

  13. 1 x yogurt, plain*

  1. Soak bulgar wheat in warm water for 1 hour; drain well.

  2. Combine bulgar with ground lamb, parsley, onion, red wine, garlic, mint, allspice and salt.

  3. Shape into patties and grill over medium coals for 16-18 minutes or until done.

  4. Serve with pita bread, lettuce, cucumber and yogurt.
