  1. 1 piece (1inch) ginger,(paste)

  2. garlic flakes 6 (paste)

  3. 11/2 cup tomato puree

  4. 3 green chilies (remove stem and slit lenghtwise)

  5. 1 cup milk

  6. 1tbsp butter

  7. 1tbsp ghee(Clarified butter)

  8. 3 elaichi (Cardamom)

  9. 1 (1 inch) cinnamon (stick)

  10. 4 cloves

  11. 1tsp jeera (Cumin seeds)

  12. 1tbsp kasoori methi

  13. 1/2tsp haldi (Turmeric powder)

  14. 1tsp (kashmiri mirch) chili powder

  15. Black pepper powder (Little less than 1/2tsp)

  16. 1/2tsp garam masala

  17. 1/2tsp cumin powder

  18. 1tsp coriander powder

  19. 250 gms paneer (cut into small pieces)

  20. 2tbsp fresh cream

  21. Coriander leaves for garnishing

  22. Salt to taste

  1. Heat ghee and butter in a pan.

  2. Add the cardamom, cinnamon,and cloves to it. Fry for 10 secs Reduce flame to medium and add cumin seeds.

  3. When cumin seeds start crackling, add the ginger-garlic paste. Fry for few seconds or till the raw flavours are gone.

  4. Add the green chillies and the tomato puree. Stir and cover the pan with a lid. Simmer the gas and cook for 20 minutes.

  5. Remove lid, put gas on medium. Crush kasoori methi using your palms and add it to the gravy.

  6. Add kashmiri mirch, coriander powder, turmeric, black pepper powder, cumin powder,salt and garam masala. Cook on medium heat for another 5 minutes.

  7. Now add the paneer pieces to the gravy and cook for 5 mintues.

  8. Remove from gas and let the gravy cool completely.

  9. Add 1cup milk and cook on low heat till the gravy starts boiling. Keep the gravy consistency as per your requirement.

  10. Just before serving add fresh cream and garnish with coriander leaves.

  11. Serve it with hot steamed rice,roti or naan.

  12. Tips!!

  13. You can cook the gravy in oil instead of butter or ghee in case you are concerned about the calories and also skip the cream at the end.

  14. Try malai paneer or homemade paneer for better taste.
