  1. King fish - 4

  2. Onoin - 2 chopped

  3. Curd - 1 cup

  4. Green chillies - 4

  5. Biriyani masala - 2 spoon

  6. Lime juice - 3 spoon

  7. Coriander leaves - 1 cup

  8. Pudina -1 cup

  9. Basmati rice - 1 big cup

  10. Oil - 5-6 spoons

  11. Colouring agent - pinch(orange colour)

  12. Ginger garlic paste -2 spoon

  13. Rice flour

  14. Cardamom -2

  15. Cloves -2

  16. Cinnamon -1

  17. Bay leaf -1

  18. Cumin seed -1 spoon

  19. Salt to taste

  20. For Fish Marination

  21. Salt

  22. Chilli powder- 1 spoon

  23. Turmeric powder - 1/2 spoon

  24. Lemon juice - 1 spoon

  25. Ginger garlic paste - 1 spoon

  1. Soak the rice for at least one hour in water.

  2. Julien the onions and mix it with rice flour. Allow it to set well for 15 mins.

  3. After 15 minutes fry the onions and keep it separately. It must be golden brown.

  4. In a thick bottom pan add 6 spoon oil .

  5. When it s heat add the fish and fry until 80% cooked.

  6. Keep the fish aside.

  7. In the same oil reduce the flame and add curd.mix it well Don't allow it to curdle.

  8. Add biriyani masala,green chilli,ginger garlic paste,lemon juice,coriander leaves,pudina and mix well.

  9. Mix it till the raw smell goes.

  10. Take little amount of this mixture and pour on the fried fish.

  11. Add little water to the mixture and check the seasoning.

  12. Add salt.

  13. Close the lid and let the mixture cook in a low flame.

  14. In another vessel add required water and allow it to boil.

  15. Now add cumin seeds,cardamom, cloves,cinnamon,salt and oil to the water.

  16. Mix well. Add the soaked rice and allow it to cook for 60%.

  17. Coming back to the mixture.now it will be boiling.

  18. Add half the fried onion to the mixture.once the rice is ready filter the water and add it as a layer to the top of the mixture.

  19. Then add the colour mixed with lime juice to the rice.

  20. Finally add the fish and the remaining fried onion,coriander leaf,pudina.

  21. Cover the vessel with foil paper and close the lid tight.

  22. Allow it to dum cook only for 10 minutes.

  23. Fish biriyani is ready.

  24. Serve with raita.
